ROPOS Dive 1454 Highlights

ROPOS dive 1454, the 2nd dive of VISIONS'11, was located just off Smith Island, WA. The goal of this dive was to conduct initial tests of a primary node designed by L3-MariPro. These tests included a series of dives to deploy, recover, and interface between ROPOS and the two components of the primary node: the backbone interface assembly (BIA) and the science interface assembly (SIA). The primary goal of dive 1454 was to recover the deployment bridle that was used to lower the BIA off of the Thompson's A-frame.
